This mountainous zone, situated in the extreme point to north of the Lombardy, insinuates among the mountains of the group Ortles-Cevedale, Central Alps, and the mountains of the group Shears Crazy, with peaks around the 4.000 meters. In the tall valtellina is very important the nature, with woods and pastures, walks and excursions, ski footsteps, glaciers, where the tourists, among the fun, the to breathe pure air and the to taste dishes typical of this place, can spend some marvelous vacations. Livigno is found to 1.816 meters above the level of the sea, it is a winter and summer place of vacation, many don't also disdain a trip in day

to take advantage of the fact that is a free zone, for which cannot be abstained us by to do the full one of gasoline or gas-oil and then, always in the limits allowed by the law, can bring us home meats, bresaola, alcohol, cigarettes, perfumes, sugar and so many other products saving different money. It's an attractive country of mountain, the houses and the hotels are almost all made out of wood, outdistanced among them to avoid that a fire provokes damns to the whole lived center, positioned in a very ample valley crossed by a stream, surrounded by the green ones or covered in snow mountains according to the season.

In winter the lovers of the winter sports have available kilometers and kilometers of footsteps, while in summer walks and excursions can be taken place in the surrounding nature. The stream that crosses the valley is tiled from a beautiful walk and from a cycle footstep, where it can be circulated with bicycles and roller skate, and to stay when you get tired to catch the sun sat in the grass. The stream, rich of trouts, is fed by a lake, also this destination of walks, where once arrived it can be tasted, in a point of comfort site in panoramic position on the lake, the dishes typical of this place as the pizzoccheri, the sciatts, the chisciois, the polenta taragna with game or porky, the bresaola, the noodles to the mushrooms and the local cheeses.

All delicious dishes, a generous and genuine kitchen to which it doesn't succeed in saying of no. My suggestion is that not to lose the occasion to see such a beautiful place, where it is suffered abducted from the nature that surrounds yourself, that that it makes you forget our chaotic cities where the stress strikes us as a boxer.

One weekend or a week of vacation are enough to regenerate you, for which if the mountain doesn't come from us..... we go to the mountain.
