Saint-Paul de Vence: an attractive suburb medioevale

Saint Paul is among the mountains and the sea and its climate it's mild. Everything there are typically around plants of oranges and various Mediterranean plants.

The tourist explosion of this place has happened around 1930, when it began to be frequented by famous painters and artists (Chagall, Picasso, Mirò, and others), that were attracted by its particular position and by the calm of the place, able to arouse in them the inspiration for their artistic masterpieces.

This small country is destination of tourism, its building in stone, its innumerable churches, the manifold shops and the inns where to taste the french cuisine, attracts the tourist for 365 days the year.

It's very interesting the architecture medioevale and the to intersect of small streets, stairways and small places they make of this suburb a true jewel.

Very interesting the situated fountain in the homonym going up again plaza to 1850 become emblem of the country.

 
 

Not to lose the Schoolgirl of the Conversion of S.Paul of the XII century, with the chapel of St. Mattew in the side, to also see the going up again Chapel of the Penitents to the XVIII century today used as center exposure.

Very beautiful also the chapel of Saint Chiara built in the XV century. On the back of the chapel the old mill can be admired.

On the principal street they lean out so many studies of artists and characteristic small shops that attract the visitor.

Everything around Saint Paul, along the boundaries of surrounded, there is the romantic one walked from which the surrounding country is admired and in distance the marvelous sea.
